The Karthaus monastery village
The history of the Karthaus / Certosa monastery village extends back to the year 1325, when the Count of Tyrol founded a monastery here. Today, Karthaus is still dominated by its historic monastery grounds whose atmosphere of serenity pervades the entire village.
